It is named after the Greek mythological creature, Medusa, due to its central location and resemblance to the creature's piercing gaze. The 4mm measurement refers to the size of the jewelry that is typically used for this piercing, which can vary depending on personal preference. This type of piercing is considered a bold and striking choice for those looking to make a statement with their body art. **

The 4mm taper may not go in because there could be debris or obstructions in the hole or the taper itself. It's also possible that the taper is not aligned properly with the hole, or that the taper is slightly larger than 4mm. Additionally, there may be damage to either the taper or the hole, preventing them from fitting together. It's important to carefully inspect both the taper and the hole to identify the issue and address it accordingly. **
